5 Things: March 2015

March was an incredibly busy month for me in my personal life but things here on the blog slowed down a bit because of it. I'm digging the slower pace because it makes me feel like the content I do share on HN is better and more true to the point of view I hope to have. I also allowed myself the time to enjoy spring and prepare for my upcoming move. I've really enjoyed the extra time I've had to myself and it's been especially nice not to have that added self imposed pressure to have content prepared every other day. I mentioned it before but I think I've made it even more obvious here today that things will definitely be slowing down here, it's just so much more manageable for me ;)
Anyway, point is I've really enjoyed March because I feel like I've gotten a lot accomplished with working towards my move and with making HN a fun project for me again.

5 Things: February 2015

4. Blogger Spotlight: Katielikeme

5. 30 x 30: Seven

February went by so fast! I Can't believe it's March already but I'm happy it is. I love spring and now that it's officially only a few weeks away I couldn't be happier, although February was a lot warmer this year than it has been in the past, and a lot of great things happened. I began a lot of new features on HN and got some good news at work as well :) February treated me well but I'm so looking forward to the spring. I'm just ready to spend time outside soaking up the sun again!

5 Things: January 2015

This month I focused a lot on getting organized and posting outfit photos. In The past I've done my best to include other posts like diy projects and recipes and although I did share a beauty post, this month was all about outfits! I did a lot better about planning posts out, and as a result most of the posts this month were scheduled ahead of time. I LOVE getting things done early and so I felt very accomplished this January, which in my opinion, is a wonderful way to start 2015. I'm hoping to carry this good habit into February, so of course, I'm already getting organized for the coming month.

5 Things: December 2014

December went by so fast I barely had time to enjoy it. I complete as many holiday projects or do as much baking as I would have hoped but somehow I did fit in all the events I wanted, so in the end I'm happy with how December went. I also managed to post a fair share of outfit photos in December. I was also lucky enough to add a few more items to my closet that I've had my eye on. This month, I'm hoping to go through my closet and thin out the items I never wear and donate them, so that I have less distractions when getting dressed. I doubt I will ever be one of those people who do a capsule wardrobe but I like the idea of filling you closet with pieces that are both versatile and timeless, so that is what I'm striving for this month.
I'm super excited for what's to come in 2015 and I'm ready to make January a great month!

5 Things: November 2014

At the end of each month I like to do a little review of some of my favorite blog posts from the previous month. You can see last month's post here. November was yet another quick month. I had kind of anticipated it since the end of the year is always busy. I have to admit that even though time escaped me in November it was a really good month. Here are my five favorite blog posts from November:

Hope you all had a good November and a Happy Thanksgiving. I don't know about you but I'm ready to get into the holiday spirit now. Who's with me?

5 Things: October 2014 Edition

At the end of every month I like to do a round up of my favorite posts, you can see last month's post here. Last month went by so quickly that it was hard to fit in everything I wanted to do in a matter of a few weeks. All in all October was a good month but a terribly quick one... Sure hope November slows things down.

Looking back I did get to check a lot of things off of my autumn checklist already so I'm pleased with that progress at least. I'm just sad to see October go because it's one of my most favorite months. November obviously is my favorite so I'm going to do my best to make the most of this month and to stop and enjoy November. Hope you all had a lovely October and are excited for your extra hour of sleep. I know I am!

5 Things: September 2014 Edition

I'm a little late to post this Since it's October already, but here are my top 5 posts from September.

Where did September go? Things have been really busy around here and I'm not quite sure where this past week went, or this month really for that matter. I'm actually not all that sad to see September go, not because it was a bad month but because I love October :) Now that Halloween decorations are popping up everywhere I'm ready to fully embrace all things autumn!

5 Things: August 2014 Edition

August was by far the quickest month so far this year. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't counting the days until summer ends, but August was actually a great month. I shared a lot of fun projects and more than a few outfits as well. I didn't share another lookbook this month which was something I was hoping to do, but maybe September will be more inspiring...  Either way I'm satisfied with what I accomplished this month, because it was a busier month than usual. I made my own sea salt spray and also crocheted a pot holder which was something I'd been wanting to do for ages.

5 Things : July 2014 Edition

July was an incredibly quick month and I really can't wrap my head around it being August already. July was that fast. I had a really good July. I shared my first flat lays here and also my first lookbook. I didn't post as much as I usually do but I liked what I shared here a lot more than normal as well. So I'm happy :)

5 Things: June 2014 Edition

Well June was another whirlwind month. I really can't believe the year is half over. The first half of 2014 was really awesome and I'm really excited to see what the next six months have in store.
I had a really good June. I know I always say that, but this month a lot of things have lined up. For me, June was a month of clarity. I have always struggled with the direction of HN, and this month I have done a lot of brainstorming and work towards improving this blog and adding more original content. I feel like I have a lot more figured out and it makes me more inspired and super excited for what's to come.
Here are my five favorite posts from the past month:

I am SO ready for July and to start the second half of 2014. I live for the second half of the year. I'm already day dreaming about fall!
