Halloween Gender Reveal

I hope you all had a wonderful Halloween! We had especially big plans this year because we decided to have a Halloween Gender Reveal party to announce what our little one's sex will be. My parents throw a costume party nearly every Halloween and my husband and I thought it would be a super fun way to find out the gender of our baby. A few weeks back when we had our ultrasound we asked the technician to write the gender down and seal it in an envelope instead of telling us, and we took that envelope to our bakery at Naegelin's Bakery in New Braunfels. It was really hard not to peek into that card but we stayed strong and found out yesterday with all our loved ones that we will be having a little boy! My mom organized the whole party and made all the decorations and truly made this an unforgettable day for us! It was so much fun finding out this way and definitely made this our most memorable Halloween to date. We are going to name our little one Hunter Michael Avery and I am so excited to start planning our his nursery more and go crazy on my baby shower registry! :P

Hope you had as amazing of a Halloween as we did this year!
October was really a whirlwind of a month and this truly was the only fitting way to end it. I'm so excited for November to see my bump grown, celebrate my birthday, and gather for Thanksgiving with friends and family. Can't believe November is already here, but so excited about it at the same time :)

November's Eve

Hat & Jeans - Target (jeans diy)
Scarf - A gift from my grandma
Top - gap (old)
Boots & necklace - JcPenney

I seriously can't believe it's already Halloween. Where did October go? I feel like I go through this every month but these last few weeks were a total blur, which is unfortunate since this is my favorite time of year. I had plans to show how I diy'd my Halloween costume and had also hoped to take outfit photos at a cemetery but time just got away from me. I am attending a costume party tonight though so I will definitely share pictures from that soon.
Hope you all have a super fun & safe Halloween!

Happy Halloween

Well Halloween is almost here, so what better time to share a few pictures from past year's Halloweens. I don't always dress up but I always try to keep things festive because Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. In recent years I was a Black Cat and The Queen of Hearts. Last year I failed to dress up (although many people pointed out I could have easily been minnie mouse with a few added accessories), but this year I will be attending a costume party so I've come up with a easy semi-homemade costume I'll share here soon. How are you celebrating this year?

Pumpkin Carving

Pumpkin carving has always been one of my most favorite Halloween activities. I think I've pretty much carved a pumpkin every year. What's more fun than getting messy and festive?! This year I was invited over to my sister's house for a pumpkin carving party. We all kept things pretty much traditional minus my brother-in-law that made us all look bad by hand carving Jack Skellington onto his pumpkin like it was nothing! This was such a fun night, and a really great way to get you and your friends in the Halloween spirit.
How do you celebrate this time of year?
