During my teenage years I wore blue jeans and slip-on shoes nearly everyday. This is sort of the grown-up version of my teenage uniform. This top is a little bit dressier than what I would have worn back in those days, but I probably would have worn blouses similar to this one had I known how incredibly comfortable they are. It's so soft I could easily sleep in it. Teenage me definitely missed out on comfy tops, but I had things right when it came to slip-on sneakers. In those days I wore mostly checkered vans and Toms, and while I wouldn't mind having either of those in my closet currently, I'm pretty in love with my leopard print slip-ons from Old Navy. There's similar versions of these sneakers at several other stores including these from Target.

It's been a while since I shared my first everyday outfit back in November but I love this series because it showcases super simple outfits you can recreate with items from your own closet. Obviously everyone's closet has slightly different basics but think of these everyday outfits as more of a jumping off point instead. Add your own favorite accessories to you simple black top and distressed jeans and see where it goes from there!

Last Outfit of 2014! It's sort of insane how quickly this year went by... December was basically a blur, although, like I said in my end of the year outfit round up, this was a pretty good year for HN. I've figured out my style a little bit better and even got to collaborate with some awesome companies. Needless to say this has me really excited to see what 2015 has in store. I'm not really the type to make new year's resolutions but I am hoping for this blog to continue to grow and to work with more awesome companies and/or bloggers. How was your 2014?
