30 x 30: Eleven

Glasses: Heb // Denim Jacket c/o Chadwicks // Top: Thrifted // Button: Vintage // Jeans: Target (DIY distressed) // Boots c/o Metrostyle

Each outfit in the 30 x 30 challenge gets more and more, well, challenging. This outfit is somewhat reminiscent of a past outfit with a few changes, as a lot of these outfits have been. I guess that's what I get for including pieces I wear a lot! These black jeans have gotten so much wear that they've begun to fade and look dark blue. I suppose that means I'd better replace them soon. I'm starting to slowly add a few things into my wardrobe to update it for spring anyway. I actually spied a pair of high-waisted black jeans at Target while shopping recently but of course they were out in my size. Still debating if I should order them online without being able to try them on, or if I should just continue my hunt. I'm sort of holding out hope I'll be able to thrift the perfect pair of high-waisted jeans. Hey, a girl can dream right?

30 x 30: Six

Top & Satchel: JcPenney // Jeans: Target (diy distressed) // Ankle boots c/o Metro Style

Surprise, more neutrals! You really can't go wrong with a black and white outfit. Add cognac accessories to make the look a bit more casual, or if you want it to feel a bit dressier add black accessories instead. Black and white is such a traditional color pairing for clothing but there's SO many ways you can achieve a black and white look. I'm (obviously) a huge fan of black and white stripes, but I love polka dots and other prints too. It's not typical that I wear black and white in separate pieces, but I may have to break that habit because I really like the look of it.
How do you like to wear black and white?

30 x 30: Four

Hat, Jeans, & Flats: Target // Top & Necklace: JcPenney // Jacket: Thrifted

When I put together the items for this 30 x 30 challenge I had anticipated dressing for cold weather so I included items like jackets, cardigans, sweaters, and a coat. As the saying goes, God laughs when you make plans... the temperature on the day I took these outfit pictures was in the 80's so I definitely didn't need the jacket (hence it only being on for a few photos). Supposedly the temperatures are about to drop again so I should be able to style more winter-friendly outfits for the 30 x 30 challenge (I'm sure people in other parts of the country are rolling their eyes at my complaints but in Texas we deal with hot temperatures for so long throughout the year that I gladly welcome winter). Had I known how warm it would get I probably would've included some shorts in the challenge because they definitely could have gotten some use today ;)
Nothing makes me feel like I'm getting older like how much I'm concerned about the weather these days. I suppose there's worse things, right?
