STRESSED!

Things have been so busy lately! We're in the midst of planning our wedding as well as getting ready to move. During times like this when both our time and our money is spread pretty thin, it's hard not to get stressed out a feel overwhelmed. Due to the fact that we are Austin transplants ( I grew up in San Antonio) there are also no close family or friends to lean on. We've been focused on work, trying to do what we can to keep our minds preoccupied from further stress. During times like this it is easy to give in and to give up, but sometimes it's more prevalent to take a deep breath and to keep moving in the right direction. I've realized that there are a few ways to deal with life's daily stress in healthier ways.

1. Don't Procrastinate!
Putting things off until the last minute will only increase stress levels. Address what you need to get done when you find out about it in order to avoid those last minute woes.

2. Recognize the value in the little things.
Take a minute to appreciate what you do have going for you!

3. Find your escape.
Whether it be reading a good book before bed, or going for a run, find something that takes your mind of your To-Do list, if only for fifteen minutes or so.

4. Reward yourself for hard work.
Make sure that at the end of the day, if you've achieved your goals, to reward yourself for a job well done. Little rewards can make all the difference! even if that reward is just a quiet night at home ;)

what do you do to keep things stress-free in your own life?
