Last Of August

Top: Thrifted // Purse: JcPenney // Jeans: Target Maternity // Flats: Target // Sunglasses: HEB Plus

I don't know if I've ever been more ready for summer to be over. I'm usually sick of the summer heat by this time, so seeing kids going back to school and Halloween decor slowly pop up in stores is always a welcome sight, but this year more than ever I am ready for autumn. I'm excited for autumn for a number of different reasons. The obvious ones are cooler temperatures, fall fashion, and Halloween and Thanksgiving, but we also find out our baby's gender in October and get to watch my belly grow. I've never been more excited for autumn in my life.

I'm already wearing maternity jeans because my belly has already started to grow, but it still sort of looks like I had a big lunch. In the upcoming weeks it should only get bigger and bigger and I'm excited to start dressing my bump, especially because that means new clothes :) That's just one more thing that has me excited for autumn.

My husband snapped these pictures for me after my doctors appointment which happens to be our last appointment this summer, so it seemed only appropriate to capture some of summer's last blooms as well. Let's hope that summer flowers will be replaced but autumn leaves and pumpkins soon. My countdown is officially on!

Just Peachy ( 30 by 30: fifteen)

Dress: Thrifted // Flats & Earrings: Target // Necklace: Mia's Mirror (HEB Plus) // Sunglasses: Forever21 // Bracelet: JcPenney

On accident I assembled an outfit that falls into the 30 by 30 challenge. This is outfit fifteen meaning I'm halfway through the challenge (finally!). I wasn't even thinking about the challenge when I got dressed. I wanted to put together the perfect summer look. I don't think it get's much more summery than a white/cream colored dress accessorized with blush/peachy tones. I'm sort of obsessed with this blush color currently. It goes with nearly everything and it's a color that works in both summer and fall when paired with the right colors ;) I'm looking out for the perfect blush handbag next.

Shades Of Blue

 Dress & Belt: Thrifted // Vest: Target // Scarf & Sandals: Hand-Me-Downs

I thrifted this dress last year & it has to be one of the most comfortable items of clothing I own. I don't really need an excuse to wear tie-dye but throw in the fact that it's a maxi dress & incredibly comfortable & I'm sold.
Also you may notice this is a rare indoor outfit photo post. I'm finally in my new apartment and haven't had a chance to scope out good spots for pictures, so I settled on my living room for now. They look alright but I'm eager to find some pretty outdoor spots near by because the wildflowers around here are gorgeous & would make for a great backdrop. The real issue is getting the courage to take outfit photos in front of people because that always makes me feel a little silly. Time to face my fears I guess ;)

30 x 30: Thirteen

Hat & Flats: Target // Top: JcPenney // Skirt, Glasses, & Belt: Thrifted // Bracelets: JcPenney & Pacsun

This is the first outfit from my 30 x 30 challenge since I decided to mix it up with regular outfits in between these 30 x 30 remix outfits and the funny thing is I love this outfit. I didn't feel forced by the clothing choices, in fact this one felt completely natural and is an outfit I'll probably be wearing a lot this spring. I just love combining chambray, olive & cognac. They go so well together!

Spring Fever

Top: Thrifted // Maxi Dress: Target // Sandals: Hand-me-downs // Bracelets: JcPenney & Target // Necklace: JcPenney

I've always thought of myself as a fall person but in recent years it's become increasingly apparent that I'm becoming a spring person. I'm loving the sunny weather & the flowers and greenery popping up everywhere. It's hard to not spend every moment of daylight outside. I'm excited to get my patio garden started again once I move & then of course spend all my free time out there with my new plants ;) Lucky for me my new apartment has a huge patio so there's plenty of room for all kinds of plants.

Winter Maxi

Hat & Flats: Target // Top & Maxi Skirt: JcPenney // Readers & Belt: Thrifted // Jacket c/o Chadwicks

There's probably nothing I love more than pairing black and white stripes with denim. In this outfit I flipped my usual getup by wearing a striped maxi skirt with a denim jacket, and I'm loving the result. It's reminiscent of this outfit I wore back in March, but of course a bit more winter-friendly. This skirt is definitely a new favorite of mine. It's SO incredibly comfortable. I decided to add in some of my favorite cognac accessories to add to the casual feel. This look would be perfect for a trip the the farmer's market or a casual lunch.
What is your favorite way to style black and white stripes?
