30 x 30: Eight

Top, Jeans, & Purse: JcPenney // Sweater: Walmart // Flats: Target

How is it almost March already?! Gosh February has been a quick month, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't super excited we're nearing spring finally. I'm about sick of winter ;)

Anyway, here's one of my favorite combinations: olive, denim, & leopard print. I seriously can't get enough of this pairing. I've worn an outfit similar to this in the past but the look is completely different when you swap out the accessories. That has to be one of my favorite things about basics, you just tweak a few things and viola, you have an entire new outfit.

At the Ranch

Sweater: Walmart // Dress c/o Chadwicks // Leggings: Target // Boots & Necklace: JcPenney

These are the only outfit pictures I managed to snap during the Christmas holidays - mostly because I was too busy enjoying them, but I had to get a few while I was visiting my grandparent's ranch. I spent a lot of my childhood here and have so many amazing memories that I couldn't pass up the chance to share a little bit of it here. These pictures don't really do it justice as the ranch is over 300 acres. It's covered in cactus and cattle and it's truly one of my favorite places on earth. Someday I'll have to revisit it for pictures of the blackberry vines or of my grandma's greenhouse but for now you'll have to settle for these mesquite trees (which I always found to be quite beautiful).

Evergreen

Sweater: Walmart (old) // Dress: thrifted // Belt: from another dress // Necklace: Forever21 (old) // Tights, Socks, & Boots: Target

Green has always been my favorite color but this time of year it also happens to be festive too. These green tights from target are the perfect way to add a touch of green to any outfit. Pair it with a white or cream-colored dress and you look like a snowy evergreen. Score. Luckily it's subtle enough that you don't look overly Christmas-y. If green isn't your color just try something else out - this outfit would look cute with red tights too!

Something Familiar

I recently pulled all of my fall and winter clothing out and with it came even more excitement for the upcoming season. I have always favored Autumn over all the seasons for a number of different reasons. I love the clothing yes, but it's so much more than that. I have so many amazing memories of things in the fall as well as a lot of autumn traditions that make it particularly special to me. I decided when I got married that it was important to me to make each season (and each holiday) significant and special if I could, and we have already established so many fun fall traditions in our first two years of marriage that it makes me look forward to the upcoming weeks that much more.

I have SO many ideas for fall. There are so many things coming up in the next few months and so many projects, recipes, and outfits I have been dreaming up for this place and I'm excited to share it all soon. Autumn is just so so inspiring to me.

I am disappointed that I haven' been able to thrift more, but I guess that will all happen when the timing is right. Fall is one of my favorite times for thrifting, I like to buy a coffee and hit up all of my favorite thrift stores in my area. The last time I did this I found so many amazing things, so I know needs to happen again very soon. Aside from thrifting I've already started to prepare to enjoy some of my other favorite autumn activities like sipping chai tea ;)
