30 x 30: Eleven

Glasses: Heb // Denim Jacket c/o Chadwicks // Top: Thrifted // Button: Vintage // Jeans: Target (DIY distressed) // Boots c/o Metrostyle

Each outfit in the 30 x 30 challenge gets more and more, well, challenging. This outfit is somewhat reminiscent of a past outfit with a few changes, as a lot of these outfits have been. I guess that's what I get for including pieces I wear a lot! These black jeans have gotten so much wear that they've begun to fade and look dark blue. I suppose that means I'd better replace them soon. I'm starting to slowly add a few things into my wardrobe to update it for spring anyway. I actually spied a pair of high-waisted black jeans at Target while shopping recently but of course they were out in my size. Still debating if I should order them online without being able to try them on, or if I should just continue my hunt. I'm sort of holding out hope I'll be able to thrift the perfect pair of high-waisted jeans. Hey, a girl can dream right?

30 x 30: Six

Top & Satchel: JcPenney // Jeans: Target (diy distressed) // Ankle boots c/o Metro Style

Surprise, more neutrals! You really can't go wrong with a black and white outfit. Add cognac accessories to make the look a bit more casual, or if you want it to feel a bit dressier add black accessories instead. Black and white is such a traditional color pairing for clothing but there's SO many ways you can achieve a black and white look. I'm (obviously) a huge fan of black and white stripes, but I love polka dots and other prints too. It's not typical that I wear black and white in separate pieces, but I may have to break that habit because I really like the look of it.
How do you like to wear black and white?

30 x 30: One

Cardigan: Target // Shirt & Belt: Thrifted // Jeggings: JcPenney // Ankle Boots c/o Metrostyle

This look kicks off my 30 by 30 challenge. This outfit is pretty typical everyday wear for me. I love combining black and white prints with cognac brown. As far as being more creative with the items I have in my closet - this outfit isn't much of a stretch. Actually, despite never having posted this outfit before I'm pretty sure I've worn this (or something super similar to it) before. For the next outfit I will definitely try to utilize these clothing items in a different way than I usually do... although that's easier said than done. I'm still hoping that this challenge will leave me looking at my wardrobe in a new way, but I know that I'll have to force myself to create new looks instead of slightly different versions of outfits I've already worn... This may prove difficult since I've already styled a lot of these clothing items several times on HN before. I suppose that's why it's called a challenge, right?
Until Next Time,

Chadwicks of Boston pt.2

Hat: Target (old) // Denim Jacket c/o Chadwicks // Shirt: Gap (old) // Belt: Thrifted // Jeans: JcPenney // Socks: Target // Satchel : JcPenney // Boots c/o Metrostyle

I'm back today to share the second part of my collaboration with Chadwicks and Metrostyle. If you've been following my blog for a little while you probably know that I've been on the hunt for the right denim jacket, and this jacket is perfect! I love that it's a dark-wash denim so it looks chic but still casual. Denim jackets are so versatile that they go with almost anything. I decided to keep this outfit on the casual side but you could swap out the jeans for some black skinnies, remove the hat, and add a statement necklace to take this look up a notch. See? SUPER versatile.

I'm just really excited to finally have a denim jacket in my wardrobe because they are perfect year round and suit almost every style. If you still need to add this essential piece to your closet I strongly suggest this one from Chadwicks. I'm just so in love!

Chadwicks of Boston

Hat: Target // Necklace: JcPenney // Dress c/o Chadwicks // Leggings: Target // Boots c/o Metrostyle

I was contacted recently with an offer to collaborate with Chadwicks of Boston and it's sister sites Metrostyle and TerritoryAhead, after browsing their websites I knew this collaboration would be the perfect fit. I had never purchased clothing from them before but I was incredibly impressed with their selection. Chadwicks specializes in classic pieces that are easy to dress up or down. I fell in love with this striped tunic (it's listed as a tunic but fits me like a dress) as soon as I saw it. Better yet, it has pockets, and they're HUGE. It's also surprisingly warm. I decided to pair it with some cognac boots from Metrostyle. I've been on the hunt for some cognac ankle boots for awhile and I was a bit surprised that a good pair like I had envisioned were so hard to find. Lucky for me Metrostyle has an wide selection of clothes for young professionals, ranging from polished blazers to sleek boots. These boots were exactly what I'd been hunting for, and they match my go to cognac satchel perfectly.

If you've been searching for that perfect item to complete your closet definitely check out Chadwicks, Metrostyle, and TerritoryAhead. You won't be disappointed!
