I thrifted this cardigan last year but it has only made one appearance on the blog since then.  It's not that I don't like it, it's just I'm not a huge red person so I usually just save it in my closet until December rolls around. The red houndstooth print has always reminded me of red buffalo check which is always so popular this time of year. There's nothing more appropriate in winter than dressing like a lumberjack right? Okay maybe that's a bit of a stretch since I'm wearing a dress, but you get the point ;)

A Few Fallen Leaves

I've always wished I lived somewhere where there is beautiful autumn foliage. In Texas, those pretty colored leaves can be hard to find, at least in central TX where I live. I've been eying the trees in my neighborhood and so far things are still pretty green :( I was able to find one fallen leave... One... for these pictures. Oh well, maybe next month I'll have a little bit better luck. For now I can creep people's instagram feeds and wish I could live up north... but only for a few months out of the year ;)

Leopard Print Slip-Ons

I have been wearing slip on shoes for years now. It began with an obsession with slip on vans, then some Keds, and finally Toms along with various other generic versions...It's safe to say that I am a fan of slip-ons. They are perfect for a girl like me who is big on comfort and loves a casual pair of shoes to wear for everyday use. I'm usually a fan of plain black shoes but I couldn't pass up this pair of leopard print slip-ons. They're just the right amount of girly and sporty all in one pair of shoes.

 I love how these leopard print slip on sneakers look paired with my simple black dress. This is perfect 'everyday' outfit in my opinion. It's cute, somewhat girly, but it's also practical and comfortable. It would be perfect for running errands or wearing on a road trip.
