The Bahamas in Photos

Last month I shared the second installment of a travel log series that covered my visit to Key west, Florida,  and I am back today to share a couple of photos from the same vacation from the two days spent in the Bahamas.
(the vacation we took we a seven day cruise. We had two different ports of call in the Bahamas.
The two stops were Freeport, and Nassau (Atlantis Resort).

We spent our first day at the Bahamas in Freeport, at a place called Paradise Cove, Deadman's Reef. We had intended to snorkel but storm clouds lingered around all day, and we were advised to stay out of the water until the storm passed. We were a little bummed out but decided to make the best of it.

What better way to turn a day around than with drinks and food.
We both decided to try some Bahamian Beers, as well as a local favorite Conch Fritters, which were delicious by the way! We also go to experience driving on the the other side of the road, which was a fun first time experience!

We ended our time in Freeport at a place a called Senor Frog, where My sipped on a few margaritas and read the ceiling signs.

The second stop we had in the Bahamas was at Nassau where we got to spend a few hours at the Atlantis Resort. We planned to spend most of that time we had at the beach and checking out the aquariums, but we also found time for a water slide and a pina colada or two.

There was so many different kinds of sea life in the aquariums, and this underwater tunnel was really cool.

The beach was so beautiful but the water was pretty cold so we mostly just enjoyed the gorgeous view while tanning.

If you ever have the chance to visit The Bahamas I strongly recommend it! The visit was short but we really enjoyed the time we spent there. The food and drinks were so good and I hope we have a chance to go back so we can snorkel in that beautiful water!
