A Fishing Trip

skinnies & sunnies - Target
Vest - Old Navy
Button-up - Thrifted
Life had been rather hectic lately, so when I had the chance to have a relaxing day of fishing with my husband and father in law, I jumped at the chance. I am not much of a fisher but lucky for me I had two experienced fishermen more than willing to help. I didn't catch anything but it was just what I needed to relax and spend a little quality time with family. I'm hoping to get to go again soon and maybe even catch a fish next time. A girl can dream, right?

Cypress & Wine

Shirt, belt, glasses & loafers- Thrifted
Vest - Target
Scarf -  American Apparel

I think I mentioned in a recent post that a big part of fall for me is making homemade soups and baking. Last year I made a big effort to try out some new recipes and I ended up cooking and sharing some really great soups including Two Potato & Rosemary Soup, Chicken Tortilla Soup, and White Chicken Chili. Of course this year I have already been making my favorite soups again but I'm also looking to try out some new soups and chili's to add to me recipe stash. I've already found a few new recipes that I'm excited to share. Now I want to get some fall baking done. I'm on the hunt for a new pie to try out as well as some cookies. Any recommendations?

Floral Embroidered Dress

I have been looking for an embroidered dress like this one for a while so when I went to Mexico a few weeks ago I decided to go ahead and get this one because it was just too perfect. It was exactly what I have envisioned while searching for one, so of course I was so so happy.

For my first outfit with this floral embroidered dress I knew I wanted to keep things pretty simple so I went with my favorite thrifted cognac accessories. Finally, I tied a black and white bandana around my thrifted tote because I love the contrast of black and white prints with floral prints.

Happy Friday!
