Just Peachy ( 30 by 30: fifteen)

Dress: Thrifted // Flats & Earrings: Target // Necklace: Mia's Mirror (HEB Plus) // Sunglasses: Forever21 // Bracelet: JcPenney

On accident I assembled an outfit that falls into the 30 by 30 challenge. This is outfit fifteen meaning I'm halfway through the challenge (finally!). I wasn't even thinking about the challenge when I got dressed. I wanted to put together the perfect summer look. I don't think it get's much more summery than a white/cream colored dress accessorized with blush/peachy tones. I'm sort of obsessed with this blush color currently. It goes with nearly everything and it's a color that works in both summer and fall when paired with the right colors ;) I'm looking out for the perfect blush handbag next.
What's your perfect summer look?

Independence Day

Cardigan, Earrings, & Flats: Target // Dress: JcPenney // Belt: From another dress

This summer is just flying by! I can hardly believe the fourth of July is already here!
I wanted to put together a festive outfit for today and although I wish I had a red cardigan to go with this dress I like how this look came out. It's festive without being too obvious.  It's hard to wear red, white, and blue without looking like an American flag, and I think this look is a subtle nod at the holiday.
I don't have anywhere to wear this look to, but that's okay! I'm just hoping to spend some time with the hubby grilling and relaxing and possibly watching fireworks from out patio. Sounds like the perfect low-key fourth of July to me :)
What are you plans for the 4th?

30 x 30: Fourteen // Feeling Free

Top & Maxi Skirt: JcPenney // Flats: Target // Sunglasses: Forever21 // Bracelets: World Market (old) Ring: Bought in Mexico // Hat: H&M (Men's)

I had fun with this photo session as you can probably tell by the massive amount of pictures in this post. It was hard to narrow it down! I didn't manage to get those blue bonnet pictures just yet but there's still plenty of time to find the perfect blue bonnet patch and strike a pose ;)

I'm really enjoying this spring and the slower pace of blogging. I've thought long and hard a decided that no fuss blogging is definitely for me. So with that in mind I've decided to nix the extra features on HN like my blogger spotlight (Big Thanks to Katie & Gabby for taking part in it!) & I even enjoyed writing a few posts with tips but I've really felt more relaxed lately without scheming new ideas. I'm just not that kind of blogger & I'm cool with that. From here on out this place will focus on outfits, plain & simple. I'm still planning on finishing out this 30 x 30 series (no matter how long it takes!) & after that I'm keeping things around here simple. Funny thing is that has me even more excited to blog again. When you do this for a few years it's super easy to experience burn out and I've definitely been there from putting so much pressure on myself. I've come so close to calling it quits and instead of throwing away everything I've worked on for the past five years I've decided to just do what I want to do.

This ended up turning into more of a rant than I intended it to but my message is pretty simple. In the blogging world it can get really easy to get caught up in what other blogs are doing, and if you try to do what other blogs are doing chances are you'll feel dissatisfied with your own blog, so just do your own thing and don't worry about everyone else.

30 x 30: Thirteen

Hat & Flats: Target // Top: JcPenney // Skirt, Glasses, & Belt: Thrifted // Bracelets: JcPenney & Pacsun

This is the first outfit from my 30 x 30 challenge since I decided to mix it up with regular outfits in between these 30 x 30 remix outfits and the funny thing is I love this outfit. I didn't feel forced by the clothing choices, in fact this one felt completely natural and is an outfit I'll probably be wearing a lot this spring. I just love combining chambray, olive & cognac. They go so well together!
What's your favorite color combination to wear?

30 x 30: Twelve

Top, Satchel, & Maxi Skirt: JcPenney // Sunglasses, Flats, & Earrings: Target // Turquoise Ring: Bought in Mexico

So today I decided to edit the 30 x 30 items. I decided to swap out these flats for my previous selected coat. I hadn't styled my coat so far and with the weather warming up in Texas I don't see it making it into any outfits any time soon. These flats on the other hand will be getting a lot of use this spring so it was sort of a no brainer. I wore this outfit out and about today while looking at apartments with my husband. Pretty sure we found our new home, which is super exciting so you'll be seeing some new settings in future photos. I'm also happy to announce that it looks like spring has arrived here in central Texas. I couldn't be happier. Spring may be my new favorite time of year. I've always loved fall but spring is definitely a close second, & it's finally here!

Winter Maxi

Hat & Flats: Target // Top & Maxi Skirt: JcPenney // Readers & Belt: Thrifted // Jacket c/o Chadwicks

There's probably nothing I love more than pairing black and white stripes with denim. In this outfit I flipped my usual getup by wearing a striped maxi skirt with a denim jacket, and I'm loving the result. It's reminiscent of this outfit I wore back in March, but of course a bit more winter-friendly. This skirt is definitely a new favorite of mine. It's SO incredibly comfortable. I decided to add in some of my favorite cognac accessories to add to the casual feel. This look would be perfect for a trip the the farmer's market or a casual lunch.
What is your favorite way to style black and white stripes?
