Cactus Painting

Hello! I decided I wanted to start this month with a really easy cactus painting project I made recently. This cute little cactus painting is the perfect diy project for someone who may have been interested in getting in on all the cactus and succulent buzz but may not have the green thumb required to do so.

This is also an incredibly easy painting project just in case you're not the most gifted painter either ;)
You just have to begin by painting your entire canvas a background color of your choosing, I went with a color called parrot blue. Allow this to dry. Next paint a long oblong green shape for your cactus. Add a little bit of brown along the bottom for the dirt, and then add a pot at the bottom. I went with a simple white pot, and added a thin gray line around the lip of the pot for a small detail. Let the paint dry.

Next take a white paint marker and outline the shape of your cactus all the way down to the dirt. Add on more line in the middle, and two more on either side beginning in the center of the top of your cactus. Let the paint dry. Next add little x's all along the white lines at varying heights.
I also added a few more lines towards the top of the cactus, but that's it.
Easy cactus artwork you can hang anywhere and then forget about and never have to water.

I hope this inspires you to bring a little greenery into your home, even if you can't keep a plant alive to save your life!
