Music Monday: Fiona Apple - "Across the Universe"

 

 

There's nothing better than two good Musicians combined. I love the Beatles and have been a longtime fan of Fiona Apple's lovely voice, so when I stumbled upon this cover I knew I'd like it.

Music Monday: Manchester Orchestra - "The Procession"

Manchester Orchestra is another favorite band I've listened to for several years now. I've personally had to pleasure of seeing them live and also own several of their albums. They never disappoint.

Music Monday: Kevin Devine - "Heaven Bound and Glory Be"

I usually have a hard time finding this song for some reason. It is one of my favorite songs by Kevin Devine and this is the only place I know to listen to it. It's a sweet and sad song, like most of my favorite tunes. I hope you enjoy it. As always, if you haven't listened to Kevin Devine I strongly recommend you do.

I'm kind of surprised it took me this long to share Brand New. I listen to them maybe too much. I'm that person. This song is a favorite amongst favorites.

Another old Favorite, and another one from a soundtrack. This one comes from The Royal Tenenbaums Soundtrack. A great artist and a great movie ;)

Music Monday: The Shins - "Pink Bullets"

    Another long time favorite song of mine. The Shins are a really great band that I discovered through a mix CD my sister had and from the Garden State soundtrack. I know I always say this, but if you haven't heard The Shins before I highly recommend you give them a listen. Pink Bullets is definitely my favorite song by them but there are so many other great ones like "Caring is Creepy" or "New Slang". Hope you all are having a happy Monday. -Reagan

This song has been a favorite of mine since my high school years. I listened to it so many early morning driving to school or work and it reminds me of those chilly mornings still.

The Decemberists is still one of my all time favorite bands. If you have never hear them you should definitely give them a listen.

This is another song that reminds me of Autumn. I can't quite put my finger on why, maybe it's because of bonfires or something? Anyway Iron and Wine's songs are all pretty amazing, if you haven't listened to them before you definitely should :)

Music Monday: Copeland - "Coffee"

This song always makes me think of cold weather, autumn leaves, and hot drinks.

You guys, I'm way too ready for fall. It won't even cool off in Texas for a few months, but that isn't stopping me. I'm that person that starts wearing sweaters way too soon. I'm not even sorry.

 Hey you guys I'm back from vacation and here to share another music monday with you all.
 Today I wanted to share a song that is very close to me. This song is the song me and my husband danced to on our wedding night. We have been fans of Death Cab For Cutie since high school and this song is just so sweet and also made us think of one another anyway ;)

      On another note today is my Mom's Birthday! So Happy Birthday Mom. You have always been so supportive and you have the best sense of humor. :) I hope you have a wonderful birthday, Wish I could see you today. Decided to keep this going for the time being, because even if I'm the only one listening to these songs at least I don't have to look through youtube, I can just find them all here.

    This week I'm sharing Cat Power "Sea of Love". I will be taking a trip in a few days to the beach with my husband. It is the same beach we got married on, and it is to celebrate our very first anniversary.  As you can tell I'm pretty excited for it. I've always liked when other blogs do Music Mondays. I'm not sure if everyone shares this feeling, but I've posted music here in the past and was contemplating revisiting it. It's easier for me to keep up with blogging if I stick to some sort of schedule. So I'm going to try it out for a little bit, and I would really like to hear any feedback you may have. Do you like this idea? Are you sick of Music Mondays? Please share your opinions with me!

For this Music Monday I wanted to share a song from a band I've been listening to constantly lately, and it's nothing new, but as the saying goes, "it's an oldie, but a goodie."
It's one of my favorite Nirvana songs, and one of the lesser known. It's off the album Nevermind.

Another Music Monday

I've liked Bright Eyes since my emo days back in high

school. This song in paticular (along with "First Day of My Life" and "Lover I Don't Have to Love") had my hooked on Bright eyes.

There is little more relevance to this song to me. I just felt like sharing, so I hope you enjoy.
